Interested in voting by mail for the general election on November 3rd?

Voting by mail is a safe, easy, and convenient way to cast your ballot.

The Iowa Secretary of State has announced that Absentee Ballot Request Forms will be mailed to every registered voter for the November 3rd election. 

Not sure if you're registered to vote in Iowa?

You can check your registration with the Iowa Secretary of State.

Need to register to vote or update an existing registration?

 Information on that process can be found here.

Ballot request forms must be returned to the County Auditor. When you receive your request form in the mail simply do the following:

1. Fill out the form following the instructions found here and on the form.

2. Mail it to:

Waterloo, IA 50703

Ballots will begin mailing to voters who have requested them on Monday, October 5th. 

Don't want to wait?

Voters can begin submitting their requests for a ballot on Monday, July 6th. If you'd like to submit your Absentee Ballot Request now you may print out the form below and return it to the Black Hawk County Elections Office.

Ballots for the November 3rd election will begin mailing to voters who have requested them on Monday, October 5th. 

To request your ballot:

1. Print out and fill in the form.

2. Mail it to:

Cedar Falls friends: If you are printing out a form to request your ballot for the August 4th runoff election for city council, you should fill in the Election Date or Type with 08/04/2020 and mark "Special" with CF At-Large Vacancy Runoff. (See example here.)

This request form must be RECEIVED at the Auditor's office by July 24th.
